# Postman

Collection and sandbox environment generated from the contract.

The Connect collection and a sandbox environment, generated from the contract on every docs pass (99 requests in 23 folders, a sandbox key or a bearer token chosen by the pre-request script, an example body and a status test per request).

{% endfile %}

Unzip, then in Postman choose **Import** and drop both files in.

### Or import by link

In Postman choose **Import**, paste a link, and repeat for the second one:

```
### After importing
| Variable                   | Set it to                                                                                                    |
| -------------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ |
| `baseUrl`                  | `https://sandbox.mymedtrics.com` (already set; for a live tenant use `https://<client-name>.mymedtrics.com`) |
| `sandboxApiKey`            | sandbox only: your `mct_sbx_` secret                                                                         |
| `clientId`, `clientSecret` | live tenants only: your API app's credentials; leave empty on the sandbox                                    |
| `apiDate`                  | `2026-10-27` (already set)                                                                                   |
| `accessToken`              | leave empty — the first live request fills it                                                                |
Select the *Medtrics Connect · sandbox* environment and send any request. With a `sandboxApiKey` the collection sends the `X-Medtrics-Sandbox-Key` header and skips the token exchange; with live credentials the pre-request script exchanges them for a token and keeps it for the session.
## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.
Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:
```
GET https://docs.mymedtrics.com/get-started/postman.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```
`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.
The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.
Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
